Life is awesome!
A lot of things to do and a lot of places to see. There is always a reason to celebrate.
There are a lot of hidden treasures in the United States. These are some of the most beautiful places with over the top scenery and luxuries that have not been tapped into by the masses. Most people, when they go on vacations, tend to go to popular destinations and stay in the most popular hotels. I am here to tell you to think outside the box sometimes and look beyond the lights, there is usually something more extravagant hiding behind it.
Think of the Sunshine State, Florida, for instance. Most people tend to visit locations such as Miami Beach and Orlando for the world famous South Beach or Disney experiences. But lets say you opted to think outside the box and venture into the Fort Lauderdale or even Naples for a change, I promise you will be pleasantly surprised.
Naples is located on the western region of Florida, approximately, 1.5 hours west of Ft. Lauderdale. Naples is a smaller town that the Miami metro area however the beaches on the west coast are to die for. Beautiful blue water and smooth sand hug the coast of Naples which makes it one of Florida’s hidden treasures. I encourage you to book your next time to the west coast of Florida and I guarantee it will be an experience you will remember for years to come. Call up your girlfriends, or tell your hubby to take the weekend off, book a villa and hit the road.
When visiting these areas, villas are a good option. They usually offer a more personalize or a more connect experience to the location. Yea, you don’t want to end up booking a shack, we don’t want you to either. Here’re a few tips of questions you should ask while booking a villa or guest house;
1) Ask if the property is owned and operated by locals
2) Find out if the room contains carpet or tile flooring and how often are the floors use a carpet cleaning service.
3) Find out if the property has been renovated in the past 10 years.
4) Don’t be afraid to tell them you want to shop their competitors before you book.
We’ve all had our share a skeezy motel rooms, some more than others, so we don’t want to have that happen again.
If you decide to visit Naples, do me a favor and get out, walk around, the place is just crawling with great restaurants. Pop some champagne! Stop into a local craft shops, book a boat tour, or even go shopping at the outlets. Yes, I said OUTLETS! I’m telling your, this place has a lot to offer for a lot less than what it would cost you on south beach. If you want to live it up and have dorm style party with your best buddies, have a nice quiet weekend where you can catch up on your reading or clock some Quality Time with that someone special, you will not be disappointed.
Florida is a beautiful state to visit, but some of its best qualities are located outside the popular high tourist cities. Take a ride to the paradise coast. Naples is where its poppin!
Go on an Pop It Baby!
